Kurz Purdue Technology Center
In support of our ever growing communities and Economic Development, Schneider continues to play its part in utilizing our experienced services.
One such project is the Kurz Purdue Technology located in the award winning Purdue Research Park, West Lafayette, Indiana.
The facility was constructed in 2009 with over 105,000 square feet and housing the Purdue Research Foundations main office. The facility also provides space for up to 26 companies and supports about 275 jobs.
Schneider provided civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, construction staking, owner’s technical representation, and construction administration for the Kurz Purdue Technology Center project.
With a future planned building expansion of 100,000 square feet a vision of the expansion was taken into close consideration with the initial design. Site improvements include water main extension, utility services, paved parking area, native plant landscaping, stormwater quality management, and stormwater conveyance systems. The site design included a 12,000 square foot front plaza area containing decorative concrete, cast stone seat walls, steps, landscaping, and an exterior fountain area which serves as a community place as well as providing a strong aesthetical elements for those visiting the Center.
