Department: Technology State: IN or IA

Are you looking for an entrepreneurial position with a growing company leading their industry? This role will lead our implementation and client on-boarding activities for our popular Permitting™ E-Government solution, as well as provide additional Staff Augmentation duties for an assigned portfolio.

The Schneider Corporation (also doing business as qPublic) is seeking an entrepreneurial and energetic GIS expert to join to our growing consulting team. Come help clients implement our industry leading solutions that are changing the way local governments operate. Train them on how to make the best use of solutions, and redesign workflows to take advantage of the most modern technologies. After implementation and training, periodically visit select clients to make sure all your hard work is paying off for them. The person in this role develops great relationships with a wide range of clients and is often the “face” of our company.

We are looking for a team member that has strong technical skills and advanced knowledge of both geospatial and local government operations, with a specific emphasis in SaaS solutions and professional services. Candidates should be self-motivated and have the ability to adapt to a wide range of client environments. With a moderate overnight travel schedule of approximately 30%, this person has a good deal of flexibility in scheduling engagements with clients.

Qualifications that make you a perfect fit (we also like imperfect fits that can bridge the gap).

  • BA/BS or Certificate in GIS, Geography, Business, IT or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with geospatial and/or E-Government solutions.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working in a consultancy environment preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with geospatial and E-Government solutions, particularly under a SaaS and professional services model. Direct implementation experience strongly desired.
  • Advanced knowledge of GIS technologies, Esri's ArcGIS platform.
  • Strong work ethic and proactive approach.
  • Desire to work in small teams with an entrepreneurial attitude.
  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate (oral and written) in the English language and possess excellent grammar skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to learn new skills.
  • A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to be covered by the company’s insurance are required.
Most importantly, we are committed to great customer service to our clients, and providing solutions that are of significant value to their organizations.

What makes this a great opportunity for you?
  • Comfortable work environment - Our Indianapolis office is located in Historic Fort Harrison on the northeast side of Indianapolis and provides a rich and historic work environment. Our Ankeny office is located just north of Des Moines, IA in a new mixed use development with several shops and restaurants nearby, as well as walking and biking trails. Just 30 minutes from Daytona Beach, FL, our DeLand office sits across the street from the historic courthouse and is part of a vibrant downtown environment offering an enjoyable work/life balance.
  • Professional development – we will make sure you have the tools and training to be successful in this position and for future growth.
