INDIANAPOLIS – (January 22, 2010) – Residents of Indiana now have an easy way to access local government land records and geographic information systems (GIS) without visiting their county court house. beacon™ Basic's functionality also includes links to Zillow and Google Maps. The full version of beacon™ gives users 24/7access to a variety of local government data including GIS, appraisal and tax information, and the data is updated daily.

The beacon™ Basic data, available in cooperation with the Indiana Department of Local Government Finance (DLGF), has been published at no cost to the state or counties, and is available at http://beacon.schneidercorp.com and is searchable statewide at www.indianaguidepost.com.
