Board of Directors
In 2002, an advisory board of directors was created to help provide guidance and strategic value to our vision and corporate planning.
Although unusual in private, family owned companies, Schneider’s board included three outside members that provide independent and diverse insight. Over the next decade, this board has continued to evolve to meet new challenges faced by our company, and continues to provide direction and guidance to our organization.
Our current members have a wealth of experience and wisdom that they share with The Schneider Corporation to make our company stronger and more effective each year.
J. Barry Schneider, P.E.
J. Barry Schneider, P.E. joined The Schneider Corporation in 1990 as a project manager for the government and utility markets and is currently a third generation owner. This has allowed him to be extremely involved in the day-to-day operations of the company, as well as an advocate for Schneider’s clients. As an owner and company chairman, Schneider helps to carry on the company’s corporate culture. It is extremely important to him and the rest of the Schneider family that the company’s first-rate reputation be upheld by continuing to provide excellent service to its customers and by also providing a family-oriented work environment for its employees. As a project manager, Schneider led the team that developed one of the early highly accurate utility GIS systems which has been recognized with several state and national awards. Passionate about Servant Leadership, Schneider has served on the planning committees for the 2008 and 2012 Greenleaf Center’s Annual International Servant Leadership Conferences.
